Weddings

We love weddings at St Paul’s and are blessed to have a wonderful church for your special day. Music could be provided by our excellent organist and choir or by our inspiring worship band. There are certain legalities to be fulfilled to get married which essentially are

  • You or your fiancée live in our parish OR
  • You have a historic or emotional connection with St Paul’s (such as you were Christened here or regard it as your family church) OR
  • You or your fiancée is a church member here.

If you have been previously divorced, it may still be possible for you to be married at St Paul’s.

If you are getting married elsewhere and you simply need your banns reading at St Paul’s, e-mail us.

Wedding Blessings

If you are getting married elsewhere, or perhaps having a civil ceremony but would still like to ask for God’s blessing on your marriage, it is possible to have your marriage blessed at St Paul’s. This could be a very simple service with just yourselves or immediate close family and friends, or you may like to invite many others & have the blessing as part of a full service with music, readings and prayers.
