Funeral

Funerals

Losing someone we love is often the hardest experience we go through in life. It can be at such times that we can need God’s comfort & strength the most. A minister at St Paul’s will always pray for God’s help for you in your grief, and we will do our very best to help you honour the life of your loved one in their funeral service. We will help you think about what you would like said (often called the eulogy) and whether you would like music- an organist & hymns, or CD music of your choosing (with our agreement) or some combination. We offer you a selection of readings and poems as well as loved bible promises. It is possible to light candles in memory of a loved one & to have their name recorded in our Book of Remembrance.

We are able to conduct funerals at St Paul’s followed by either a cremation service or burial locally, or to conduct the entire funeral at a crematorium or at the grave side. Frequently Asked Questions here

Burials

We are able to conduct full burials at any burial grounds that are requested. At St Paul’s itself, we have a Memorial Garden where we conduct Interment of Ashes; this may be very soon following a cremation, or it may be up to years later depending on the wishes of a family.
